Amendment to Sailing Instructions

Season 2019/2020

 

 

Amendment Number 4

 

18        Safety Regulations

                        Add the following:

            18.4     During Covid 19 restrictions or until notified otherwise all boats competing in WASC events – the person in charge of the boat must notify the PRO at least 1 hour before the race starting time by SMS to phone number 0420 855 948 the following:

      1. Person In Charge (PIC) Name and contact phone number, preferably mobile phone number.
      2. All crew members names and contact phone numbers.

Failure to notify will result in that boat being scored DSQ without a hearing.

           

The following is a reminder of the conditions to be followed to conform with the NSW Public Health Orders sent out to you by email Sunday 24th May 2020 :    

 

  • Get in, Sail and get out;
  • Club activities including racing can resume as long as the Public Health Order is complied with.
  • Outdoor activities only;
  • Limit activities to small individual groups with a maximum of 10 participants (inclusive of coaches and support staff);
  • Practice good hand hygiene before and after sailing;
  • Avoid physical contact;
  • Changerooms, canteens and kitchens should remain closed – arrive dressed and ready to sail;
  • Stay home if you are unwell
  • Don’t share drinks or towels;
  • Sharing of equipment should be avoided and if necessary, should be kept to a minimum;
  • Keep a distance of 1.5 metres where reasonably practicable; and
  • Follow the one person per 4 square metres rule ashore to ensure sufficient physical distancing between people;
  • Encourage the use of COVIDSafe App whilst at your club.
