Racing to Start at Wangi

On Tuesday this week (12 Oct) we were advised that sailing races can now start. There are now no limits under COVID, as to the number of people on board, however,all those over 16 years of age must be fully vaccinated. If not vaccinated, only one person is allowed onboard unless all people from the same household. Unfortunately, people from Greater Sydney and Central Coast not yet permitted in Lake Macquarie and hence will be unable to sail at the club.

Yacht Racing

As a result, the club has decided to run a non pointscore race this Friday and Saturday for yachts and start all pointscore races from next Wednesday (20 Oct).

There is also a change to the pointscore racing program as follows:-

1. The Windward / Leward race scheduled for 23rd October has been cancelled

2. The Scratch Series Race 2 scheduled for 16th October has been moved to 23rd October

Please ensure you have completed:

1. Entries lodged online
2. Membership Paid (Skippers and all Crews)
3. Safety (Category 7)Inspection completed and forwarded to the PRO (Phil Mayo)
4. Copy of 3^rd Party boat insurance forwarded to PRO (Phil Mayo).

Junior Racing

Junior pointscore races are currently proposed to recommence on 6 November, however practice races may be introduced earlier.

Sailors will be advised as soon as arrangements are in place
