Times

Arrive at 8.30am to rig, ready for a 9.00am class start.

Classes will finish around 10.30am.

Equipment

Each participant will be provided with a fully rigged and insured club Sabot sailing boat for their use along with the loan of a life jacket. Please note club boat numbers are limited, so class will be closed off when maximum boat numbers are reached.

Clothing

Participants will be required to wear a hat and shoes that can be worn in the water. We also recommended sunscreen, a spray jacket and possibly a wetsuit if it is cold.

Groups

Participants will be allocated either to Learn to Sail (LTS) or Intermediate (INT) group based on experience. Typical age suitability is 8 to 13 years old but is not restricted to this.

Requirements

Participants are required to:

  1. be able to swim at least 50 metres wearing a life jacket;
  2. attend all sessions along with at least one parent;
  3. be responsible along with their parent, for getting their designated boat rigged, unrigged (with assistance from coaches), washed and put away each week; and
  4. complete a course application form and pay class fee.
