NOTICE OF RACE
The notation ‘[DP]’ in a rule in the NoR means that the penalty for a breach of that rule may, at the discretion of the protest committee, be less than disqualification.

RULES
|
|
The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing and AS Special Regulations Part 2 will apply.
All competitors, coaches, support personnel and spectators are required to comply with the current NSW government’s COVID restrictions at all times.

ADVERTISING
|
|
Boats may be required to display bow numbers and advertising chosen and supplied by the organizing authority. If this rule is broken, World Sailing Regulation 20.9.2 applies. [DP]

ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
|
3.1
|
The regatta is open to sailors of all OK Dinghies class boats who are current members of a club affiliated with AS and of their class association.
|

3.2
|
Eligible boats must enter with WASC online using the following link

Online entry and payment must be done by the 5th of November 2020
|

3.3
|
Late entries will be accepted up to the 7th of November 2020 but will incur an additional fee.

6 Races in total are scheduled with a maximum of 4 races to be sailed in any one day, however no warning signal will be made after 16:00 on the last day of scheduled racing

MEASUREMENT
|
|
The Event Measurer may spot check boats at any time during the Regatta.
|

|
SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
The sailing instructions will be available on WASC website from 7 Nov 2020.
|

VENUE
|
|
The racing area will be on the waters of Lake Macquarie between Wangi Point, Fishing Point and Coal Point.
|

THE COURSES
The courses to be sailed will be a combination of Triangle & Windward Leeward courses as detailed in the Sailing Instructions
|

PENALTY SYSTEM
|
|
RRS 44.1 is changed so that the Two-Turns Penalty is replaced by the One-Turn Penalty.

SCORING
|
11.1
|
2 races are required to be completed to constitute a series.
|
11.2
|
(a) When fewer than 5 races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores.
|
|
(b) When 5 or 6 races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score.
|

PRIZES
Prizes may be awarded at the discretion of the Organising Authority

DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See RRS 4, Decision to Race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage, personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.

INSURANCE
Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of $5,000,000 AUD per incident or the equivalent.
