Register Learn to Sail Summer Feb 2022

The LTS course is designed for kids to try their hand at sailing in a fun and safe environment. This course uses Sabot sailing boats that offer an inexpensive, simple and reliable experience for kids. Our experienced coaches ensure that kids with little or no prior sailing experience can learn and enjoy sailing. Kids will be paired up with 2 allocated to each boat, preference for pairings can be sent to the course coordinator as required.

Parents are integral to this course and will be required to help the kids rig up and wash down the boats each week.

On the Day

Class will kick off on the Saturday 19th February where kids arrive at 8.00am to rig their boats, ready for an 8.30am class start. Classes will aim to finish at 10.00am with Kids (with Parents help) required to wash down and de-rig club boats and return to storage racks.

Note: there are 2 weekends post 26th March that "may" be used in the event of cancellations due to weather conditions.

Equipment

Each participant will be provided with a fully rigged and insured club Sabot sailing boat for their use along with the loan of a life jacket. Please note club boat numbers are limited, so class will be closed off when maximum boat numbers are reached.

If the option to use your own boat is chosen, then you will be required to have it unloaded at the club and ready to go from 8.00am
