Nathan Outteridge and his young family are coming to Wangi for a couple of weeks before heading to Europe with SailGP commitments.  Nathan has won multiple world sailing championships, been to 3 Olympic Games, winning Gold in London and Silver in Rio in the 49er class, skippered foiling boats in 2 America’s Cups and is the skipper of the Team Japan boat in the Sail GP series, winning the last event in Italy a few weeks ago.

Nathan’s wife Emma has written a book about “Between Two Worlds”, that of the mega rich America’s Cup sailing community where she worked with Louis Vuitton for many years and that of a poor regional primary school in Uganda. She first went to this school in Uganda back in 2009 where she volunteered for 6 months. Since then she has been back every year to help, not only in the classroom but with fundraisers for infrastructure and sponsorship programs. Emma’s book was only released in New Zealand in late May and is the 2^nd highest best seller for nonfiction books in New Zealand and is now available in Australia.
