Wangi Sailing Club has Learn to Sail, Junior and Off the Beach Dinghies.
Learn to Sail & Intermediates
The Learn to Sail program is designed for kids up to the age of 15 years. The club has 10 Sabots used for this purpose or kids may bring their own boats. The program runs from October to Christmas on a Saturday morning, details will be available closer to the event. Registration is essential with a limit of 30 reached last season. The course is run by professional coaches. This course is also split for those at an intermediate level, having completed Learn to Sail previously that might not be ready for junior racing.
Junior Racing
Our junior club racing is provided for youths up to 18 years currently competing in a large fleet of Sabots as well as Lasers, Flying 11s and 29ers. Our Junior program is designed to improve skills on rules, boat handling, racing, tuning, on-water coaching assistance and boat maintenance with a proactive approach to individual improvement. Racing is from October through to Easter, with a Christmas break. All dinghy types welcome.
Off the Beach Dinghies
Off the Beach dinghy afternoon racing is currently provided for Laser, OK and 29er. Short course racing is provided aiming at skill improvement. All dinghy types welcome.
Nacra 15
Several youth training sessions for the Nacra 15 mixed class are hosted at the club throughout the year and on occasion also join in the afternoon club racing.
